Bryant / Carrier

United Technologies Corporation (UTC) owns Bryant Heating and Cooling under the Carrier brand name. UTC is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana and trades on the NY stock exchange as OTX.
Charles Bryant founded the Natural Gas Regulator Company in Cleveland, Ohio in 1904. The company began selling gas-fired boilers within 4 years, and dominated the US market for gas boilers in the 1920s. Carrier purchased Bryant in 1955. United Technologies Corporation acquired Carrier in 1979.
Bryant Heating and Cooling markets residential air conditioners, heat pumps, and gas and oil furnaces under the product names "Evolution System", "Preferred Series" and "Legacy Line".
Trane / American Standard

Trane makes residential, commercial and industrial furnaces (as well as other Heating, Ventilation and Cooling (HVAC) products, such as air conditioners, heat pumps, air cleaners, indoor coils, and thermostats). Annual sales total nearly $5 billion. Trane, Inc owns America Standard and is owned by Ingersoll-Rand.
